Andrew had to decide whether or not to accept the delivery of some vehicles that had been ordered 18 months ago. He didn’t currently need them but felt that he would need them in 6 months or so. The price was less than he could get them for in the future, but taking delivery would cause cashflow issues and inhibit his ability to get additional credit for other business growth projects. His dedicated accountant came to me because he was asking her financial questions about this issue. We immediately called him for more clarity. During the conversation, I asked many questions that made him think more clearly about his situation. This short conversation, coupled with accurate and up-to-date financial information we had already provided, led him to the right decision to decline to purchase the vehicles. We were so happy to be able to work with our valued client to solve this question and help him have peace of mind. He was very grateful as this important decision saved him from months of heartache and possible business failure that could have resulted from taking delivery.
